Just getting prices for pads and discs for the Terrano. Got a price from Milners and prices from Andrew Page.
Is there any benefit from using Mintex or using budget parts. Milners win hands down on budget prices. Mintex from Andrew Page are very expensive compared really.
What's people's thoughts on brands.

I would avoid budget !

Personally having had a bad experiences with Budget brands grabbing & squealing I always go for a better make.

I have found Mintex, Frerodo & Blueprint pretty good. Have you checked the genuine part often they are priced competatively. Halfords own brand aren't bad either.

Got Milners 2 years ago, disc + pads set. Never had any problems...

Brake feel and pad brands.

Another thing I have noticed over the years is that I prefer a softer pad - often cheaper. As I am not a heavy brake'r.
I like the brakes to feel good on first application.
Not a fan of performance pads that need warming up. I drive on the roads not a race track. lol

I used to sell the Powertrain brand through Brown Brothers many, many, many years ago. Effectively they were made by known brands and reboxed, so no real difference, except price.
Nowadays I'd imagine that there are numerous no brand factories in emerging economies that are banging out rubbish. That said the Milner pads I have are fine.

i have fitted milner ones pads and disk and had no problem good value for money in my opinion:thumb2

Had milners discs and pads on for a couple of years now with no issues.

Mtech vented, grooved and dimpled discs and pads for me.
Performance rated.
For front and rear look good and very responsive, which is reassuring with the rooftent on the rack.
About £110 fronts and £120 for the rear set if I remember correctly.
Hope this helps!
