Just in the process of replacing the front brake pads.
About to fit the caliper back again onto the lower pin bolt and the pin bolt is stuck fast, not even allowing the caliper to fit properly.
The pin bolt of course should move in and out freely.
I'm at my wits end, just short of placing a pipe bomb underneath it all.

I have used the blow torch and tried to bang the pin bolt out with block hammer and chisel, followed by a heavier block hammer applied to the chisel along with regular application of the blow torch.

Any ideas? a controlled explosion?

Sorry for the lateness of this reply I am surprised no one has posted with any ideas as yet.

I would remove the part of the calliper with the sliders in and attack it in a vice. Have you tried leaving it soak in freeing oil? avoid getting this on the small rubber boot as it may swell it up, try turning the slider with a spanner on the nut end, working it to and fro a little at a time, if you still can not shift it after soaking and heating then as a last resort drill a small hole in the opposite end so that you can get to the pin with a punch and try and drive it out, more soaking in freeing oil would help at this point, if you do manage to get it out after drilling a hole it is advisable to block the hole to prevent water ingress.

i got a 17mm spanner on it and kept tapping it back ond forth to free it up.took ages but i eventually got it out.cleaned it up with emery paper and greased it before i put it back together and its stayed nice and free.had to do this on both the terrano's i have owned when replacing the front brake pads.
good luck.

mine were exactly the same. i just super heated it with a blow torch and cooled it quickly using dw40. after repeating 3/4 times and managed to budge it with some grips. it was knackered by the time it came out so i popped down the breakers and got a replacement

any joy with the front brake pins?pity you didn't live a bit closer as i have got a pair of complete front calipers(with nice free floating pins)that i would sell.
