Might sound silly but did you scrape out the calipers to remove the dirt & rust before fitting the new pads :?: Just wondering if the pads are sticking in the calipers :roll:

pedal dosn't become firm no matter how many times you pump! Is that with the engine running - ie. servo in operation?
