My T2 developed a pinhole in one of the brake lines close to the load sensing valve. No time this week to tinker, and I need it in the weekend, so off to the local garage it goes.

I'm considering also asking them to replace the fuel lines, they look just as corroded. Not sure if replacing them with plastic will let me pass MOT here in Belgium.

For the brake lines: would it be possible to only cut out a part, and use a sort of joint? Most of the lines are fine, just the last 50cm close the load sensing valve are shot...

yes can be jointed with a male/female joint set, worst part is getting the flaring tool on the pipe still on the motor, Rick

Well, made an appointment at the local garage for repair on Friday. Not sure if they'll use a joint, even though no problem for MOT here.

Conveniently, garage is only 300m away from our house - I don't dare to drive it very far, with hardly any brakes.

akk, long as you've got gears your good :lol:augie

I've been looking at flaring tools, but as I'll only need them a very limited nr of tiems, and as the local garage does not charge Nissan prices, I'm happy for them to do it :)
