Brake Balance valve

Hi Guys any help?

Had Mav in for MOT failed on the brake balance valve been seized and corroded manager to free off with wire brush and loads of WD. BUT what does it do the big spring does not seem to do anything. What should I be looking for?
Any ideas?

The big spring wont do much till you've got a load in the boot. It's meant to increase brake pressure to back brakes when the truck is loaded up. So pop the wife in the boot and have a quick spy underneath,:lol
If you still have a floppy spring leave her in the boot:lol:lol then give the thing a good twatting with a hammer till your spring goes hard :sly works for me :naughty
