Weld the rear diff

been thinking of it, but half shafts out which means brake back plates which are well rusty, so it is a lot of work for not a great deal of gain, think it will be more benificial to remove the fuel tank so stopping it hitting the ground on steep inclines, Rick
 
Do they not just unbolt off the end of he axle tube, 4 bolts, U can even leave the wheel on to pull them I thought ?

Yes you are right, but the brake pipes are going to be a problem, well rusty, and yes I have a brake pipe flare kit, but with all the other stuff that needs doing at the mo, just no time, still got an engine on the bench half rebuilt:doh, Rick
