I recently bought a Nissan Terrano R3mR and as it came with a 'free' Boshi oil filter & fuel filter and already had a Boshi oil filter fitted I decided to do an oil & filer change at the weekend.

It took a while for the oil light to go out on first start up - only to be expected as the canister filled up. However I was a bit concerned that when I started it again five minutes or so later the oil light took 5-6 seconds before it went out.

I went out for a run on the following day and everytime I started the engine from hot or cold it took five or six very long seconds for the oil light to go out. Panic started to set in as I wondered if the old oil was full of additatives to hide a more serious problem.

When I removed the Boshi oil filter it had very little oil in the canister so I suspected the problem might be with the none return valve

I decided to buy a Mahle oil filer from my local autoparts shop and it set me back £13.95 !!

Joy oh joy on second start up the oil light went out instantly and all is well with the world again. Clearly the new Boshi filter was faulty. Needless to say I will not ever risk one again. Its genuine Nissan or Mahle for me in the future.

I had the same problem with diesel filter same make. not sealing

So far we have fitted both oil/air/fuel filter all Boshi on 2-3 service with no problems....so far (std supply from Milner Offroad). Anyone have an alternative source at a more reasonable price than £14 for an oil filter?

i think he uses the same pics for all the sets. just ask whet you need in the kit.

As i said ive had no trouble getting the right bits. even though i have orderd the wrong ones, he knew i had by the other bits id asked for, and put teh correct bits in the box.

i've found them to always be very helpful
