Hi all i am going to fit a boost gauge to my 96 terrano/maverick the one im wanting lights up how and where do i wire this up so the gauge lights up when i put my lights on or even if its permanently lighten up?
 
I spurred mine off of ignition wire on radio
Depends on where you are going to install the gauge. I have picked up from a few places on mine, for things like the pitch and tilt gauge, vacuum gauge, and other stuff. If in the centre of the dash, the easiest one is off the lamp on the cigar lighter, or the feed for the radio.
 
You can take power from the back of the cig lighter got both of my gauges wired there

Here is an interesting product, search ebay... "piggyback fuse"

It is a fuse carrier that replaces a fuse and adds an additional fuse with output wire for accessories, saves tapping into existing wiring.
So no mods to original loom, so ok for rental cars, leased cars, or new cars under warranty I would have thought...:nenau

I've got one of these piggyback fuses, really useful, I've got my sat nav hard wired up behind dash, no loose wires etc.
