hi all, is the terrano 1 and 2 bonnet the same, apart from the intercooler scoop?
i am after a bonnet lip guard/protector but struggling to find one for the 2/3...
i do 100 miles a day on the motorway so fly's etc are a pain!!
cheers, mike.

I think Tge leading edge of the bonnet as it contours around the headlights is different.

I suggest you park next to one and "Go Compare ":augie

best regards,

Rustic

I got a Mk1 and a Mk2 parked alongside each other the Mk1 square head light has the bonnet cut away above the lights, Rick

Watch it when/if you fit it, I got one for my brand new Vitara, fitted it exactly as they said (Mind you, instructions were terrible), and one of the clips rubbed the paint back to bare metal within 100 miles.

Was very annoyed.... to say the least.

The way the metal brackets clip on and bend round the bonnet edge, the force of the wind can make them press against the bonnet at higher motorway speeds. As I could not now take it off, owing to the huge scar, I had the paint touched up, and fitted sticky foam under the clips, and left it on when I sold it a year and a half later.

Had one on mine for last 13 odd years with no issues but caught the end on a hedge recently while reversing and it snapped denting the bonnet in the process !!!!!

thanks for the replies guys, i will keep looking! they are out of stock in most online shops so if anyone sees one please do let me know where from etc.
thanks again, mike.

Excuse my ignorance, but just what does this thing do? Rick

it (in theory) deflects the air stream thus pushing flies and stones over the top, and the leading edge of bonnet is protected from stone chips etc
if it works like a double bubble screen on my old zx9 then it will be money well spent, the flies are a real pain! mike

Ah right, not for me then, don't even wash the motor let alone bother about flies and chips on the bonnet, as long as it starts and drives then I am happy, Rick
