Hi guys, can anyone tell me how the rear quarter panel bodywork trim, the lower bottom part, comes off?

I have seen there are screws holding it to the inner wheel arch, but what about the section near the back edge of the front door?

The reason I am removing them is the paint has chipped off and they could do with being repainted.

Any tips or advice is much appreciated

They are fixed with Push clips all round the wheel arch, if you careful you wont brake them as you "Tease" them off, but the chances are you will cos they only plastic.

Also, you may find on removal the you have rust under it too and removing the plastic clips may cause you a whole world of problems and the rust will fall to bits.

Okay...cheers for that...you have filled me with a load of confidence now...lol

I maybe as well then trying to paint them in situ..?

If you do want to take off the plastic bits, warm them up a bit first. saves breakages :augie

I've just done this, broke a clip on both sides:doh, and where the screw fitting are on the inner arch lip will, probably crumble slightly too, but don't be fazed by it, hopefully you'll just have surface rust like mine, wire brush the rust and I just gave everything 3 good coats of bitumen:thumbs, just up to where the arch trims go back:thumb2
Hope this helps, and all the best:thumbs

I think some of my body work is slowing removing itself! Need to get the placcy bits off to attack the rust. Good idea to warm it, didn't think of that.
