Guys I keep seeing kits on line for doing various heights of body lift, what height can you lift without worrying about cables, pipes, filler pipes for the tank, steering etc? Haven't thought about doing it, but these lots keep tempting me...... And so it begins........ Lol

So with 2" you just fit the spacers and new bolts and that's it? Apart from the bumper brackets that is....

try again. before

sorry im being a cabbage the pic I posted was after my 2" lift
not as simple as you might imagine as once you've lifted it you then have to lift your bumpers too. which takes some grinding and welding

and don't forget your gear sticks 2" lower.
im lucky I had a friend to help and im pleased with the result.
as I can now fit these bad boys on

however your chassis will be as close to the ground as before so you wont be gaining much lift really.
Im toying with the idea of a suspention lift now for more clearance but it will be very difficult to get my ladders on then and It will probably make me want 33s.
where does the spending end:nenau

there is room to goto 3" if ya very carefull, mine is 2.5" but could see there was room for more when the shell was lifted up to put the spacers in

did you manage to fit the 33s without a suspention lift?

oh and had to play with the angle grinder around the front arches :sly

my front inner sills have already been erm cut and hammerd flat.
how did you do sus lift.
dislocation cone and longer shock?
and what about the front?
is it a torsion bar only lift:nenau
camber, does it knock it off a lot
any other issues?

erm....erm...spring spacers and longer shocks, torsions wound up, yes camber can be affected but is easily fixed

how far will the torsion bars go?
I understand the wheel will pull in but another few inches on the diff is a lot

i think mine is about an inch lower at front than back

If you go to 2" suspension lift you'll be fine. That's still within the design limits of the suspension. You will need to re-adjust camber though.
Bump stops can be cut a bit too for extra droop but be carefull on the shock length , you dont want to cut the compression bump stop too short or the shock will bottom out and bend

Sounds too much like hard work, am not going to bother. But thanks for all the replies, still an interesting topic.

Nah, body lift is a piece of piss :D
Just a bit of faff if you want to keep the toy town bumbers that come with the car :lol

Suspension lift too is straight forward.
Depends ofcourse on what you want to achieve from your truck.
If it's 33s or bigger, then you will have to do body and susp lift, simples
