I was just wondering if anyone knows if 40mm diameter blocks would be ok to do a lwb body lift, or do they need to be 50mm?

I have just got 10 50mm high blocks but then discovered that they are only 40mm in diameter, so before i get the bolts I wondered if anyone can help.

sent from my phone, sorry for any typo's.

Can I help in measuring? Ive got a fresh kit packaged up :nenau

Run Alex, run :D
The bigger the better or you'll get twist going on and could bend the bolts and end up with a wonky body
I don't think 40mm is enough

I don't understand this fully

Can I make my body lift bigger? Prob a silly question.

*awaits abuse* :naughty

It's the diameter of the block (spacer) that I'm on about. If it's say 30mm it's not stable enough and the whole body could effectively twist off
70mm has a much bigger arse and so stays put better :thumbs
The height of the block can be bigger if you want more body lift, but will cause issues over 50mm ht:rolleyes:

Aha, loud and clear :thumb2

you might struggle getting the bolts
on the LWB you need 10,
6 are M10, no problem
but the 4 captive ones are m12 x 1.25 ( fine thread) and the length you need for a 50mm body lift is 150mm
they are hard to find and expensive (all the shops i tried only stock 100mm)

Thanks Makeitfit, I did wonder, that's why I thought it best to double check.

The local Engineering company are getting them for me, well hopefully...

Trouble is, I ordered them before I got the blocks, not realising they were only 40mm diameter, rather than 50... so Might have to give them a call tomorrow and if they have not got them, get them to cancel the order, as it becomes a pointless exercise.

got my blocks

Xpajun kits come with bolts . Give them a shout for off the shelf bolts but any decent fixings outlet should be able to get them.

Head bolts for a 2.8 tdi iveco engine as found in nissans, vauxhalls etc are the right size and pretty cheap if bought as a set, cheaper still used from someone changing them on an engine
