I'm amazed anyone would tackle a Terrano as rotten, I take my hat off to you. I wish I was half the mechanic that you obviously are.

How did you lift the body off?

lots of wd40 and an impact wrench

got a funny feeling even that ain't gonna work had 2 other one on the gearbox xmember that kept chewing even with a smaller socket rattled onto them

This is the furthest I've ever stripped a car down most just done brakes & simple stuff

Erm 4 bodies (no me, I was erm supervising engine clearance) & got it clear of the engine & let it go :lol:lol rock sliders caught it :augie

same as the lwb from front back of the torsion bar anchor beam

I would love to do this kind of restoration to my T2 but even if I had the time I don't have the space.

on the t-bars connecting to the lower arm at the front???? got big nut off alright haven't tried the little trailing arm yet.

I would love to do this kind of restoration to my T2 but even if I had the time I don't have the space.

I keep the house going & get space at the work for it:thumb2 work is poor atm seems to come in small bursts of 1 week a month

BUT MR is NOT to touch my terrano!! :lol:thumbs

unless i ask, I need to see where everything came off of or i'll never be able to piece it back together again

nah, i mean where the engine and gear box sit, it's the same as the lwb, but from where the torsion bars are anchored in the middle, from their on back the way, the chassis is completely different

yopu could grind the rusty not off and then drill the remainder of the bolt and just replace later

Hi them 3 bolts at the front of the torsion bars mine were the same i just cut them off it cost me about £30 from nissan for 6 bolts dont use anything else as there specially designed for that and also once u get that off u might find as i did the pin what goes through the bottom arm, chassis and bush could be sized in the bush no way of getting it out without chopping ,theres 2 bushes there £40 each side and the special big bolts are £20 odd pound each side
