Not a big job, provided you get the right blub.. lol sorry bulb.:lol
remove the screws holding the bezel in, you can then see the fixing screws, remove them, gently pull the display forward to access the blub holders.
I 'll have a search to find a similar thread...
Edit have a read of this thread
All is revealed.

Thanks, I will have a read up. Been like it since I bought it and its getting on my nerves now!

think we need 6 bulbs.

but what ever you do change them all..

Personally I replaced all the bulbs in one go, my theory was that they're all of a similar condition. The bulbs had got a coating of black on the inside so restricting the light.
Careful if anyone thinking of using LEDs as you need to fit them correct way around (polarity). Also from the ones I've seen they create bright spots on the dials.

doing ours

The bulb behind our clock stopped ages ago iv orderd a selection off the bay both standard and led bulbs to see if we prefer the blue glow from the LEDs or standard, there cheap snuff to buy I'll do a photo write up and post it but it's pretty simple stuff, its worth changing all the bulbs at the same time they do degrade over time change one and the rest look dim in comparrision

To eliminate the bright spots for LEDs flatten the top with sand paper, and roughen up the surface on the rest.
Round LED's have a limited viewing angle so look bright from dead ahead to a few degrees either side.
