Just returned from a run out in our lovely summer storms. My heater blower will olny work on number 4, full blast. Has any one else had this happen and do you have any ideas on how to fix it.?

heater blower

it's the resistor under the glove box.the track will have burnt out .

There has been loads of threads on this, IIRC there there is a bit on the curcuit board that burns out & if you just solder over the burn it sorts it out

Have a look at W18 in the downloads section

heater blower

i think there is a download on how to remove it and repair it.dead easy to do if your quite agile as you have to fold yourself up in the passenger footwell to get at it.i repaired mine with that stuff you put on the heated rear window to repair the elements when they get broke.

The problem is your heater restate its fitted by the fan motor which keeps it cool replace it and it will work again.

Heater card

hi
Heater Control card that controls speed
control card can be found in the heater motor, firstly remove the wiring plug-in connecter, there are two cross headed self tappers holding the connecter block in the moter body take these out and out comes the control card, use a very short screwdriver

It is a small circuit board which is locaed in a very hard to get at place underneath and behind the glove compartment. about 30 minutes of fiddling around. The part was about £35
