blower heater problems

I have a P reg Maverick long wheel base i've had it a year with very little in the way of problems but i have now developed a problem with my heater in that it only works on high setting i am begining to find out that this is a common problem, does any one know how to repair this of how to get the part?

hi chrisjs27. this is a common problem that affects terrano, mistral and maverick's if you have a look in the download section for article w18 you will see a solution to your problem. and best of all it should not cost to much to put right.

Hello Chris.

The problem is there is a resistor that gives your heater different voltages to run the heater at different speeds.
There are 2 different types of resistors (different connector plugs) but are both in the same place, just behind the glove box.
so make sure you get the right one.

Fitted fresh resistor from nissan1st, payed £15 for it, got it same time as replacment power steering pipes.
