bloody squeak

since today, my terrano has been making a annoying squeaking noise from the front right wheel, its not a matalic sound, it's almost like a rubber that's.......well..........rubbing:clap:doh see what i did there:augie

anywoo, i couldn't see anything obvious but it does it when driving over catseyes, speed bumbs, children, pot holes, and so on,

also when you wiggle steering the wheel side to side, dad thinks it could be a dried out ball joint:nenau any ideas, will spray the ball joints in wd40 even though they are sealed and see if it makes a differance

Had loads of squeaks, rattles and grating sounds from under mine. Got a can of spray grease (clear, with a solvent that evaporates away, leaving the grease behind).
Sprayed every joint, bush, pivot, next door neighbour's cat. Almost every noise gone, in fact it was so quiet I could hear new noises I didn't even know I had :doh

no it has'nt:doh but i found a upper ball joint i got from dad when he had his mav, hope it is the uper one making noise

I have a squeak from my front end, turned out to be the O/S front drop link ball joint, just lay under the car and push the car up to make the suspension move, I notice play in the drop link
