i need a new engine and i am so frustrated!
i went on to ebay, saw a good one, waited 2 whole days till the very last 15 seconds and wacked in a huge sum only to get pipped by a measley £5!

it is annoying, especialy if it's something you need, try and ask them to sell you the next one as a buy it now.

I had bad ebay day today as well.Bought car for £173 listed as taxed until feb when i got there i asked where is the tax i sent it back he said then ensued an argument so he reduced the price of the car to £150 only to annonce he haddent got a log book:doh Needless to say the car is still on his drive but wasted 3 hours and £20 diesel

i use auction sniper if its something i realy want set it up and it bangs in your bid at the last 5 seconds i cant remember what they charge but you get three free snipes to start with when you subscribe:thumbs

The one that pipped you may well have bid £500 more than you. That's how ebay works.
Someone was prepared to pay more than you, simple as that.
Are there none "buy it now"?

They charge you 1% of winning bid if you win and nowt if you dont:clap I set my max bid to be placed at 3 seconds, if I'm out bid by a quid then someone was prepared to pay more than me and they win!!!

It's also good if you want to try your luck and are not around to place a bid!
