Great news Panelbeater :thumbs

Well done for persevering with it as many a good man would have thrown the towel in by now

Thanks.once its mot and road legal and some bodywork on both done one will be up for sale.
The buety is now they are both tried and tested so its not buying a blind car.
I will post on here when its ready for sale, but I do not know which one it will be.both will have the wings replaced and be tidey.

ok another update on green t2.
i put a rad sealer in as a precaution but pleased to say no leaks.
the t2 has had a few shunts about in garden as an when we needed to move our caravans about and starts after a few turns,so the battery is holding up but it is not the correct amps one.it needs a good run to clear all cobwebs from fuel supply chain.
now for the bad news.
i came home to clacton to collect my big trolley jack and mig kit to weld up the blowing exhaust.the jack is a sealey but very old and it would not lith t2.
i went to a mot centre in brandon and explained about it is sorn and blowing and hoped a repair bandage would do as funds tight but booked it in for mot the next day.
no tax mot or ins on this car i took it to garage and was duly moted.
a fail on the exhaust,i got under and no way a bandage would do,so they priced it up and i left it there then went back after they called me to collect it.
all nice and silent now a fresh mot with a few advisory bits but nothing bad.
so i had already negotiated an all in cash deal and paid up and just needed to get it back without meeting the boys in blue.200
so now its just waiting for tax and ins to be used.
now my predicament is ins both cars as cheap as i can.
hastings direct robbed me transferring to blue t2 so not keen to give them any more,i have a price of 200 with another insurer for green t2,but how does my no claim work with both cars.
i still have my old business name so a motor traders policy is coming through at 582 or admiral multi car is about 490.
motor traders policy is any car i own, drive, loan etc on comp.
i want to drive both t2s so i can chose what one to keep.
i must say the blue t2 has been great after starter motor and ip banjo and i have trust in it now as i have done about 1500mls.
the green t2 is newer, lower mileage and upper trim but i lost faith in it due to constant fuel problems, but now that should be over with replacement ip pump fitted.
i still need to do body work on both t2s.
i need to get faith in green t2 befor deciding.

Re insurance, we use Direct line, and if you can talk to one of their guys, they might be able to do a deal on the other car.
Have a few " named quotes" to drop into the conversation.... close to what you want to pay... :augie then say you have heard good things about Direct line, and would prefer to go with them... does no harm to exaggerate a little when negotiating insurance.
Over the last few years, ours has been going down... and down...:thumb2

They were certainly the cheapest to insure one of our cars when the kids were under 25 and named on the policy, and when they got their own car, had a great introductory discount too.

"Direct Line don't use price comparison sites.... " well I do ! every time it is due for renewal....:lol:lol:lol
