I always buy the cheapest diesel i can find which is SM I've never tried any of this go-faster stuff, I don't believe a word of it :thumb2

Anyway, I haven't tried any of that sm stuff, I keep asking the missus but she just refuses to wear the heels and the whip:eek:

Sorry Christophe you have to get up bloody early to catch me out. LOL

I do believe that Liam is right and that its all about additives in the tanker - the basic juice out of the refinery will be all the same stuff obviously.

In fact heres the thread where member jw2106 talks about everyone going to the same place for their fuel....maybe he can tell us the 'additive' answer?

All I can tell you is that some of the premium fuels run a bit better, especially Total Excellium diesel in my experience.

But you can't touch french diesel with its 30%+ bio content. I don't know what they do to it but it runs better and quieter and fuel consumption is often 15-20% better depending on what you buy and where.

no you nitwit different retailers; Shell, Total, BP etc, ....all their premium fuels are different and not always better.

Certainly from the wide range I've tried, Shell Optimax is OK, BP Ultimate not a big deal, and Total Excellium is best and any french diesel far better.
