Hi all happy new year and hope you all had a good christmas.

I'm still playing with my terrano the one that had water in footwell. thought it was a door seal but was wrong completely stripped out the van cage seats and fittings and fixtures and found that water coming through the seals on the rear panels of the van just were you normal blokes would have the rear side windows.

any way its both sides so i started cutting through the sealant and water started to pour out so i got the right place, hoverever if i rip the panels out and try and re seal them its going to look a right old mess.

so does anyone know if i'd be able to go to nissan and get new seals and possibly even a new set of panels, its a 2002 so not too old,

also if anyone got a spare 3 door carpet hanging around could you get in touch cause the one i took out is ruined by the water

I'd do the best I can with the exisiting side panels, new ones from a dealer will be pots of money. I've no idea how the commercial side panels fit but surely there will be a way of removing without damage.

they will come off but the sealant that think and hard that likely to damage panels wi scratches etc

i thought the panels were sealed with auto panel adhesive...

if your stuck or you think it might be too much for you, id try a good auto body repair place coachworks type of place:thumbs

thought about taking it to coachworks place i supose if i do that at least i know it'll be done right might save me having to do it all again in 6 months time

cheers will look on web now for a local one

to be honest i think its very easy to do. and you prob wont even have to take the panels right out

just to confuse things even more, have you thought of fitting a second hand set of windows instead?

You can post as many times as you want pal cause sometimes i think your the only one listening out there

i'm begining to wonder if you have a job? or maybe the gaffer has employed you to talk to us.

can't wait to get to a meet shame about sailsbury i know the training area well being as i spent half my army carear on there in fact its driving round the area in a lr 110 that got me into mud fever.

I know that the training office is at tidworth camp if you could get down there and ask to see the area training officer he'd give you maps and details of all area's you could use.

The out of bounds change from day to day and its always good to let them know your on the area then they won't come and chase you off.

If you rang the operator and asked to speak to the military operator they could probably get you a number for him or her

don't know if that'll help hope so

try equicar they should be on the net somewhere, but it would be worth comparing to one with windows in detail first to make sure it is a straight forward job and you get all the bits ;)
