Nice relaxing day out in the Patrol. It's good to be back greenlaning again.

Yes, we go for the scenery and the sense of getting away from it all as much as anything.

My mate is trying to get me to buy another Landy but it won't be happening. I had a little sit in the passenger seat whilst he drove and the Landy memories came flooding back..... Loads of driveline shunt, noisy, rattling doors etc. The only thing I envy is the availibility and price of parts for them.

Yes but, you'll need loads of parts, it will be on going.:doh
Oil costs twice as much as the Nissans, they leak most of it:lol

It's cost of ownership that really matters.:thumbs

Availability is the other, you want the car on the road every day, not in a garage being repaired with cheap parts available from any where...:doh

Yes, I bought my first Landy when I was 16. I've owned almost every type and I worked in an independent Landy garage for years. I have to say though, in 20 years of Land Rover ownership, I never broke down where I couldn't fix it and get home.
I did give my mate a little ribbing about the ATF dripping on the floor under his 90. As usual though, it's good when they're leaking, it means it's not empty yet !
