Bike rack...

I use a similar rack to the one in the images, and I carry two bikes on it. My only concern was the stress that the bikes weight place on the door and spare wheel fixings (especially if you hit a pot hole etc). What I do now is place one of those long ratchet type tie downs through the rack and up to the roof bars. They only cost a few quid in the cheapy shops too.

It seems to keep everything a bit more stable and less wobbly.

Very good point:thumb2Been thinking of getting one myself but I will remove the wheels from the bikes (quick release wheels) & mount them on the roof rack as it's surprizing how much weight is in the wheels:rolleyes:
 
I was thinking of removing the rear wiper blade / arm for the France run, (keep it in the truck), as it stops the rack from sitting down properly over the wheel on the right hand side.
