what size is your new cooler. im working on something big up front :naughty
It's a TD5 one, so bigger surface area and same inlet sizes :thumb2
Didn't want fmic as it'll just get caked in mud and stop air flow over my rad. I need that to work well as the engine is much hotter than it used to be :naughty

Update

This is one of those jobs that sort of got shelved for a while :augie but is now flavour of the week :D
I've done the turbo mods now and also the inlet manifold intake has been made to come out side ways.
The turbo outlet has also been rotated 45 degrees or so too. All to get the silicone elbows to work in relation to the TD5 intercooler.

Inlet side , nice shiny alu welding :sly

I/C now fits on both hoses, so mock up brackets next.

Just some bendy bits to line things up 1st before using the heavier steel for the final shape.

Here are the brackets sprayed up and fitted. Also drilled for cable clamps on the drivers side.

Intercooler now bolted in place and hoses clamped up . All nice n sturdy again :thumbs

Plenty of surface area now for more cooling and will hacve the fans on again soon. Water spray will be refitted on the front of the air scoop on the bonnet. Should help spread the spray better over the fins

That's it for tonight, I do like the longer evenings :D

me want one, very much likey

It's a bit of a fiddle but cheap enough. You'll have a bit more room than me too as you lifted 60mm didn't you :sly
I also have the extra bonnet scoop and that restricts where I can fit it
Your biggest pain is to modify the inlet manifold. You need a shit hot alu welder type chap :thumbs

pete instead of putting water onto the I/C why not think about a water/meth injection system?

I might sell mine as I planned to on sticking it on the 90 but might need funds for a trip to sardinia.
