Hi

I have a spare set of wheels and tyres for my 2004 diesel X-Trail, my original plan being summer tyres on one set, and winter tyres on the other.

Just wondered if anyone had any tips on the best way to store the set not in use?

Cheers

Tony

er..., inflated standing up, out of the sun as Zippy says and I believe best way is to stand up as it would be on the car, but i havent heard long time storage on its "side" stacked is bad either.

you could always store them on my maverick if you like, i will make sure that they always have air in them :thumbs

As yours are all 6 stud I would be much better at soring them:augie

Trailer wheels and a spare Picasso wheel, I hang on the wall in my garage, with a metal bracket that goes through the hub hole, I store them inflated, but I am quite happy to store them at 2/3 pressure. Depends when you need them..

In the dark with no excess weight on the tyre is best.

Thanks

Thanks guys for the advice and comments.

At the moment they are stacked in the corner of my garage, lying on their side one on top of the other. I guessed this wasn't ideal and plan to rearrange my garage sometime, and thought I'd incorprate a better storage method.

Cheers
