Am looking at 25 litre oil drums so would prefer to get the best possible , am doing about 15,000 to 20,000 A year & even though the change is 12,000 service interval on 2.2dci thinking of just dropping oil at about 6,000 any advise gretly recieved :thumb2:D
 
Good idea to change the oil more regualry like you say ive got 2.2dci primera with full service history with no.1 conrod smashed through side of block not a pretty sight:eek:

That should have improved your crank case ventilation.
Expensive repair that.:doh
 
Have a 2.2 x sve, i use halfords diesel 5w/40 full synthetic £35.00 for 5ltrs, change mine every 6000miles, hope this helps.

Bought 30 litres fuchs 5/30 full syn worked out at about £19 for 5 litres from opie oils thanks though :thumb2
 
Asda Fully Sythetic

Asda do a good range of own brand Fully Synthetic Engine Oils bought 5 Litres of Fully Synthetic for my Mini a steal at £19.99.
At this price I can afford to change it more frequently.

CostCo have stopped selling the Chevron Fully Synthetic Oil at my branch it used to be £11.95 for 4 Litres ! I think they sell it in the large drums still.
