As above guys

Name some films that have got some good 4x4 scenes in them if any, I can't think of any

Films

Hi,

Not technically a film, more of a TV series.

The Fall Guy, with Lee Majors playing 'Colt Seavers'

Colt's truck was an early 1980s 3/4ton GMC Sierra Grande 4x4 pickup.

I grew up watch this in the early 80's and always wanted his 4x4 pickup.

Cheers

Steve

Dante's Peak, starring Pierce Brosnan.
Goes up the mountain in a 4x4 and drives across lava, good use of a snorkle too.

You also have Jurassic park 1 where one falls out of a tree...

Dante's Peak!!!! I forgot about that one!!! I suppose you've got Harry Brown where he steals the old school Series II from the drug dealers and you've also got the Defenders in Layer Cake as well from the Warehouse scene and of course the Yellow Range Rover

films 4x4

how about tomb raider, lara croft blasting her v8 defender through the jungle, blink twice and you`d have missed it, but it was a 4x4. and one of the arnie swartenthingy films had a good chase where he drove a jeep renegade chasing a fake copper on a motorbike in the opening run up. there was one on sky the other day my son was watching i did`nt get the name, about a bloke who`s brother was killed by a drink driver, so he turned vigilante souping up his 4x4 with huge bumpers winches and what could only be described as a harpoon to stop offenders it looked very eightyish with clothes style and it was american themed. my boy said the good guy wins in the end they got the guy who killed his bro, i watched about 20 mins and gave up on it, i only started watching cos he was souping it up. all the best Andy.

What about the "Professionals" where Bodie repairs a head gasket on a LR, with a piece of lino, it must have gone a mile or so before it broke down again.

That's good for an LR...:lol:lol

Could you include the futuristic 4x4 in the Star trek film "Nemisis":nenau

Picard loved driving it, and even flew it into the docking station on the landing craft.

wasn't there a Jakie Chan film where he went through the dessert sitting on the roof of a paj/shogun on a plastic chair? Or have i been in the pub too long :nenau

At the begining of Who Am I there was a Paris Dakar type race. Don't remember the plastic chair on the roof though

I always kind of feel patriotic when I see a British 4x4 in an American film. One that springs to mind is one of the greatest films of all time, The Omega Man starring Charles Heston, where they use a Landrover to escape the city.

This is the proper film, not that drivel starring Will Smith:) (Legion).

Regards

Alan

Wasn't it one of the Batman films that had some kind of Batcar that was based a Landy chassis?

Personally I'd prefer one of the old films with 4 Merlin's roaring away but I guess that's not 4x4. Don't half sound nice tho:thumbs

not a film but saw aneka rice other night on a garden show in a 12 plate defender
flowerpotmen or something, getting folks to help on a garden project, was based
in sheffield too.

reminmded me 20 years back challange aneka, she drove a rr based kit car, possibly
called dakar conversion, used to roll it out of an artic that acted as base on projects.

country file farmer has an l200 mitsi and knows how to use the towbar...
