Why don't we just do a single handed wave/ acknowledgement to fellow Maverick Terrano or other Nissan vehicles that you drive. :thumb2

I waved to two this morning, both Terranos, and they both waved back.
One might have been you. :nenau
(They probably thought " Who is that pratt ?" but never mind.)

So if someone waves to you FIRST you will know they are a member :thumb2:thumb2
This should easily spread the word across the UK, or indeed worldwide.

This was something that was done in the 60's and 70's you waved to fellow owners of your model.
This was when the AA patrol man stood at the side of the road saluting anyone with an AA badge..

Just a thought to spend a moment thinking of others.
Best regards, Rustic

i always do anyway :thumb2 ( im the idiot with a big aerial on the roof :augie:lol )

Oh god this brings back childhood memories of Reliant's:doh oh the embarassment of my old man picking me up from school as a treat:eek:

You too?

My dad had an estate version (LOL!) of the REALLY old ones with the rounded bodyshell.....used to drive my mum around in it with 4 little kids in the back and people used to wet themselves when we all tumbled out the back....but I've always had a soft spot for them!

Like this, but with a back door LOL

Does that mean you are embarrassed by the vehicle that you now drive?

I'm all for comaraderie so I will be waving, as I already do, but I don't think people really know what you're doing!!

Teenage family friend used to hide when her dad took her out in the families .....................Lada Niva :lol:lol:lol:lol

niva pretty cool, especially with fiat twin cam dropped in.

funny how rare they have become, guess all been sent
back to russia.

now a boxy riva that would be cringe time.

Lada Niva.... great little 4x4's. Have had 2 to date, once all the 'niggles' are sorted out they run a treat :thumb2 bit hard on mpg and every spare part cost about a tenner !!!! very good in the snow but rusted like mad :(

Never mind the Reliant...I remember the Bond. Lift bonnet and kick start the engine when the battery was flat.:lol

My fave was the Bond Bug - any colour you like as long as it's orange. You had to tilt the whole front two thirds of the car forward to get in, but I seem to remember a review at the time saying to 45mph they were faster than an E-Type Jag!
A mate living in Cornwall had one - he was screaming it down a hill in the pouring rain, but what he didn't know was that the road at the bottom was flooded, he hit the water doing 70ish, the front came up (only one wheel at the front) and the car completely flipped, landing upside down in the floodwater.. He was ok but couldn't get out of the car. Passers-by had to turn the car over to get to the handle on the roof that allowed the whole front to swing forward. Happy Days!
