Well done mate, my new Varta arrived yesterday as well, but I want to remove the terminals and give em a good clean up before connecting new battery and it was too bloody cold & wet to stand outside for more than a minute or two, so I'm doing it today (Thurs).
TIP :-
Don't forget to rig a seperate 12 volt supply to the car, whilst changing the battery, or you will loose your radio code, and you may have to reset your NATS, the ECU would loose it's data, but a long drive will sort that though.
Remember to insulate the red terminal and avoid earthing it during the changeover otherwise the seperate battery will feed through, at best it MAY blow a fuse and you will loose all the codes you are trying to protect:doh.
I did this on my wife's Picasso last week, put the red lead in a thick plastic bag during the change.
No codes were lost in the changing of the battery.:thumb2
best regards,
Rustic
Whats NATS? I thought you don't get NATS in the Winter!:lol:augie I don't use the Radio anyway it's the original Ford Rubbish fitted.
That's on my "To Do" list!
Battery VARTA G8 95ah 830CCA is now fitted and working a treat.
I don't think the engine did half a crank and it was started! amazing, beats connecting up to "The Dragons" Fiesta for a boost !
