Battery info?

Hi there,

Just a quickie. Could anyone tell me what type of battery i should have in our mistral 2.7 td 1995 and where the best place to get a new one? Currently got a 600 cca battery which was in the car when we bought it, but it has always seemed to struggle starting up.

Not sure about Battery size but is it the battery or something else? does the starter seem to turn over fast enough or is it slow at turning over?

Hi Krish, I have just replaced the 2 battaries in my Mistral, even with 2 battaries( not up to scratch) my motor wouldnt start if left for a couple of days.
The Garage put 2x 635s (70A/H) in it.

You could try this type.

Sometimes the stater sounds slow then it will fire in to life other times it starts no problem what so ever. But I've never had it when the starter doesn't turn or stalls.

Hello Krish,

With it being a problem sometime and not always, could it be bad connections on the battery terminals?.

Is everything else ok on the electrical side of your vehicle?.

As other members will know, I was thinking along the lines of broken positive terminal connections again, as we know its a common problem with broken battery leads, especially with the starter being fed straight from the battery too.
