Decided that i want a more heavy duty bash plate as i seem to like rocks more than mud :sly although don't shy from any form of off roading :naughty :D :augie

Gonna talk to Pete about this when i go down to Wales :thumbs

Been looking on ebay & 4x4 sites & cant find any for the Terrano / Maverick :(

1. Does anybody know if there is other bolt regalements & if so where

2. Does anybody know some body who could make 1
Nothing flash, just so long as it does the job

Checker plate would do

I'm making some guards for a rally car in the next wek or two and was going to use some of the off cut to make an ally bash plate for mine - also thought about using Polycarbonate - heh if its good enough for bullet proof windows - would look fairly different being see through.

till its gets dirty ... then you will just see the mud you cant wash off being on the upper side :doh

so can someone explain whats wrong with the standard one ?

Have to say I have no problems with the standard one - except the bolts rust but I've replaced mine with stainless now so no problems.

But I've bought a sheet of 6mm alley to make these other guards and will have some offcut so thought I'd make use of it, they're only a rectangle with a couple of bends after all, easy to knock up compared to what I'm doing - figured it would look smart if nothing else and at 6mm I could use counter sink cap heads to hold it on so the bolts could be flush too, got button heads on now but the still scrape and get filled with rock etc.

The standard 1 works fine but i'd like to extend it by a few inchs to the rear & bring it up onto the front slam pannel just for looks (plus i got carried away with the grinder & may of trimed me bumper just a tad to much :augie :doh :naughty)

Ok Zippy :lol :lol :lol

There are 2 holes already in the panel where the bull bar attached so can use these for the extended bash plate :naughty

we will have to call him. "ad the grinder":lol

I think "The GRIM GRINDER" might be more fitting :sly

& I've taken more off since that pic :doh
All today to

Where it did curve under were the little dummy grills are (fogs on some) thats all now been removed
Give me a grinder & I'll sort out ya arch's to fit 40's  :doh :augie :lol :lol :lol
