well I had some success :naughty , I managed to roller paint the ceiling in the bedroom without falling off the step ladder too much  .... ceiling looks fairly reasonable too :thumb2..... but my arm /leg and foot are bruised from falling ..... all in all quite a successful day :thumb2

Spent the weekend with the family and friends at Cei Bach, Wales in the tintent. We used the venga bus to tow caravan due to Trol being of the road for resto work. To be fair the transit was on a par with the Trol for towing if a little bouncy on rear due to only having single leaf springs but was better on fuel.

how is the boat lift, first saw it when it was derelict, then later when it first re-opened and used it several times after, last time was over 5 years ago, fond memories, Rick
The boat lift is in good working order. We both enjoyed it.And the weather was warm and dry.

anderton boat lift

we went early this year,
really good day out

our first trip was around 2004 the reason we wanted to get onto the Weaver was the depth of water would allow me to drop the narrow boat rudder in order to withdraw the prop shaft with prop to change the prop size, all went splendidly well but hard pulling that rudder back up and getting it located in the bearings, all done by feel underwater through the weed hatch with ropes, Rick

Another view of the boat lift

Tarmac many drives while you were there? :naughty

We had great time thanx. The venga bus name came from a mk3 transit we had a few years ago that was a 6 seater with full stereo set up:lol.
And no we didn't tarmac any drive's although we could have done with some to level our pitch up a bit:lol:lol:lol

great vehicle are those transits. Quite sought after ones are the 'crew vans' that the utility companies have and network rail. Water heaters, power points etc.
