DaveD, not a problem, I don't race much anymore but my old boat (1983 vintage) is still quick on her heels and can show most of the current one designs her transom in most winds above a 5, and that's loaded up with comfort, they're stripped to the ribs but in heavy weather really suffer ,

Nic 55's are a superb boat, built for long distance, comfortable and fairly quick

Might do cork week this year, round ireland race, in which case, I'll put together a crew, ppl on here can come too tho I'm limited to 6 including myself

We'll give you a race:sly Bring your's to the Pirate Rally, we've got cruiser racing organised too:thumbs
We've raced all the local cruiser types on our cat and we'll be at the bar first:sly and still have a good chance on handicap:naughty
Newquay regatta on just after our bash so you could have a weeks racing if you want:naughty

E boat.......... handy boat that one, lovely lines and quick with it! I was down in Newquay a few weeks ago, doesn't look that deep to me, I'd guess aberystwyth is the nearest marina? my boat needs 7' to float........ newquay dries out at low water and I really don't fancy refloating mine after its been on its side............. where's the pirate rally? could always anchor off, can't bring the T2 tho, won't fit on the boat. I'll have to update my charts tho to get the inshore details, usually use the main channel which is offshore before nipping into Milford or Swansea.

Extreme, no problem, get yourself up this way when I'm off someplace and you can have the forward berth..... sure I have a spare lifejacket someplace

Pirate rally is in TRESAITH , google it 8th Aug
Sailing regatta but with various bods from here coming along for the crak
Deep water birth will be a prob at 7ft Not sure if Aberystwyth dries out:augie
We can ferry you though on various ribs etc:thumbs
OR leave the boat and bring the T2 and scrounge a ride on the E boat:sly
Bit smaller than you're used to but still a larf in a blow:naughty
