Bin the droop stops :thumb2 and reduce the bump stops
Also make sure the truck is properly level

I'll just have to see how I get on once the spacers arrive since I have ordered them. I have a clunking noise at the moment that needs looking at which is good that it has arrived now and not after I have done mods. Strange as I checked the front suspension 3 weeks ago for play and everything was fine.
I am thinking of changing both top and bottom ball joints while I am messing, but I need to do some work on my Chevette as I'm doing the hill climb in April and very slack when it comes to getting things done.

. I have a clunking noise at the moment that needs looking at...

If the clunking is only on full lock, could be the steering stops.

If it clunks when you rock it side to side, could be the front drop links on the anti roll bar.:thumbs

I thought it might be the link bars as it is a similar sound to the last time one spat the dummy, any ideas how long they last as to be honest they seam to last about 6 months.

I use the moog ones from general traffic auto spares with super pro poly bushes

Un sure how long this will last as fitted about 5 month ago

clunking could be a number of things,

steering stops
shock bushes
drop links
ball joints

anyway tell us more about this hill climb :naughty

Yes I would say somewhere about that, never had it on a rolling road but good to annoy Subaru drivers on track days. They can't understand how an old car is burning them off. which is nice. :lol

Old cars rock :sly Light weight bodies in relation to modern safety loaded electronic gizmo'd lard arse cuddling air conditioned poo new ones :lol
My daughter's herald will burn off many boy racers. It weighs hardly anything (rust may have helped there ) 1300cc twin carbed hi rev cam and hi flow zorst and 4 simple well ratio'd gears :clap Love it :lol

Sideways is the way forward, good old rwd fun.
I was at a track day with a mate of mine in a Mk2 Escort and he was giving an Evo 6 a good run for his money, the guy had spent a small fortune on his 400bhp+ Evo and couldn't believe an old Escort was keeping up with him. He insisted that my mate pop the bonnet to see what engine it was running.
