Hi gang, sorry for being quite for a long time, but i could do with some help.
I have a water leek on my motor, its dripping from a steel plate that is around the bottom crank pully, now i dont know if its running down from my water pump or not, cant see any sign of it doing so, is it possible that it is running into this steel plate at the top from my water pump or do i have a bigger problem ?

Only my amateur thought but it could be water pump or rad or hoses. Rad and hoses should be easy enough to check. Water pump can be funny - depending on where in its cycle it is, when stopped there might be no leak or water gushing out of it.

Going to go for water pump and hope i dont find a crack in the block when i strip it down, will get a new one, and hope for the best. Hoses and ran look fine no leek from them.

ebay do nice water pumps...

both tezzer and I got ours from there

Just been to local motorist shop and got one, need to get it sorted this weekend cause need it on Monday.

Tell tale of the water pump leak isusually a small puddle right in the centre on the floor at front of car. Trouble is weather like this you've no chance of seeing the puddle.

Puddle melted the snow. Water pump changed and so far so good, bit cold and damp now, (me not the car)

Thanks gang.

Read this too late but yes, the skid plate (which is what i assume you are talking about) can mislead you, because the leaking water pump drips on to it and the leak on the ground then appears to be further back than the pump....glad you fixed it though!:thumbs
