AVOID THIS CAR - 2.7TDi Maverick on eBay

As most of you will know I have been looking for a new car and came across this on eBay and was thrilled with excitement!!!!

S Reg, ex council, professional commercial conversion, 22,000 miles on the clock, it looked gorgeous so I borrowed a car trailer from my dads boss and off I went to Milton Keynes to fetch it.

My god it was more beautiful in real life than it was in the pics!!! Until I got underneath

It was a dog!!! If I didn't know better I'd have said it had sat in the sea for the last 12 months. All the body mounts were excessively corroded, sills shot, front cross member was non existent, floor pan had holes in, engine bay was crumbling to bits

To make it worse still, the Injector Pump was spurting Diesel all over the floor, the gearbox was leaking oil and the water pump was leaking.

The seller had also advertised that it had 12 months MOT, when I got there it appears it has yet to go in for a test and I wonder why!!!! If that car ever gets an MOT it is 100% hookey and I have a right mind to report it to the DVLA as it is a danger

Actually looking at the engine bay pic, how many Terranos have a rusty air filter case, and rusty slam plate, look at the leading edge of the cross member in front of the radiator.
This is most unusual, it's as if this vehicle has been used at a Council Road Salt storage facility, and never been rinsed off to remove the salt.:doh

I'll be keeping my 1995 Mav a bit longer...

Yeah you can almost smell the rust. Look at bolts in boot, wheel caps, door hunge in 3rd pic.. It's there, all be it subtle :lol

Digging a little deeper, it is showing on the system as untaxed and that it has no MOT, it expired on 20th December 2013...

I have asked him what the condition of the chassis and cross members.

Will see if more BS comes back.
