so guys and girls,
where have you put your switches then?? and what switches have you used.

I've used an old rear fog light switch for my roof lights & have positioned it in the blank on the o/s of the dash infront of the clocks:DThe other blank next to the ultra sonic switch I fitted my CB mic clip so there is no holes in the trim:D

ooh, forgot about then 2 precut holes,

next question, what are teh two holes marked by the hand break for? heated seat switches?

Some have heated seats so you could be right but i've got 3 blanks there with mine being a SWB & i'm sure it's the same console as the LWB & thats where the rear window switches go with the lock button

slightly off subject i find one of the dogs likes to stand on rear window switch, unless
i hear the air rush then its after locked car and ultra sonic kicks in, atleast can
disable the switches., think got 2 spare down there and one under speedo.

Zippy pimps his ride:lol:lol:lol Do you use your cubby box ? You could make up a panel out of MDF to cover the whole front or just part of it & mount your switches to this:Dyou could either paint the MDF or use some spray glue & cover it with some gray vinyl (from back of an old car seat or door card:augie)to give it a factory look:thumbs

cubby box minus lid from purchase, midland cb sits nicely there, plus couple of bags of
sweets if they last that long!

I keep toying with the idea of fitting a switch into one of the blanks, I want to utilise a spare connection on the 12s socket to switch amber beacons on and off when I'm out with RAYNET. It's one of those gonna jobs:lol:lol

Well here's my dash - just finished it.

From the bottom.

Midland 38 (IIRC) + multi CB
Yaesu 8900 - amateur radio rig.
Switchs in place of ashtray.
9" touch screen for in car PC - plastic protection still on.
Front for Yaesu 8900 - some amateur radios allow you to separate the facis to have t somewhere convieninet whilst keeping the bulk of the rig out of the way.

Switches are (Left to Right).

Beacon - Roof lights x 2 (inner/outer) - Spot lights x 2 (inner/outer) - Reverse/Work lights.

The Roof, spot and owrk lights are on 3 position switches, up for permanently on, middle for off and down for on with main beam or reverse lights as appropriate.

Theres also a 12v DIN power outlet for map reading light to the left of the radios and sat nav stuck to the window though it looks like its just dumpe thee in the photo.

Looks like a right pain to change the CD:augie
Did you get your diff done ok?
Hope all goes well and if you're passing, give us a toot:thumbs

Yes diffs done thanks.

Screen pivots up on a bracket to allow access to radio underneath - don't have CD though - but wouldn't be without my radio 4.

Thought you'd have it covered somehow:sly
Quick thread hijack........where can I get those whacky bolts for the roof bars?

Need to see a pic really but suspect you're talking about rivnuts/nutserts - or at least that how they should be held on. I can sell you some or try ebay. You should use a specail tool to put em in but with care it can be done with a bolt, nut and a washer.
