Auto to manual?

Morning all
Has anybody on here converted a 2.7tdi from auto to manual gearbox? Asking because my auto box feels like like it's on its on the way out and I qas never overly keen anyway.

I can't fully remember, but is there an issue with the flywheel on the engine, might need to swap...

On most vehicles the crankshaft taper differs between taking a torque convertor as opposed to a flywheel.

Didnt think they were fitted on a taper but will look.Def need to change flywheel to replace torque convertor

Is changing the flywheel a big job? What I mean is since there will be no g/box on anyway

Easy job just undo the bolts 8 I think

flywheel is not a problem but electrics may be and possibly prop shaft length, Rick

Thank you all, gives me something to consider. Fortunately, not a massive rush to get done, but really need to start getting bits together. One question, what problems could I get with the electrics?

Only one i can think of is crank sensor if yours is in the bellhousing if it isnt then its just reverse switch and speedo pick up wouldnt have thought either would be a problem.Ref propshaft you may need replacement and you will need clutch pedal box

I could be wrong, only auto I worked on was briggies Mistral, but did it not have box connection to the ecu, Rick
