Can anyone help, when the truck changes from 1st to second theres a jerc , but not all the time , cheers chas

Hi Chas, My Mistral does the same,It is better if you use less gas, and it does'nt do it if power switch is on hold possition . Being doing it since I bought it over a year ago, maybe they all do it !.

it must be one of those built in annoyances.

Mines worse when it's cold.
I have a stop sign on a hill and when I take off slowly I just wait for the clunk into second but once warm no problems as the next stops about 400 m up the road and ok then.
Might pay to check your oil velocity?
I don't know what kinds in mine as I had it done in the auto shop.

Hi guys , just done a gearbox oil change and engine oil change and up to now seems to be changing gear perfectly .
could not change the oil filter though seems imposible were it is,
i will keep you all posted on the gear situation,

Hi chas and all, i recently changed engine oil on my maverick (wont do it again ha ha ) filter is behind the turbo tucked down beside engine mount it a killer to get out and as worse putting back, a thin metal strap filter remover is essential. .... The gear change on mine is same from 1st to 2nd but like Bibio said less gas on take off improves it.good luck
