have a 1996 box if they are the same :thumb2

Yours is a Mistral, and his is a T2 not sure if they are the same, the box itself maybe but they have a control unit and there could be differences as the Mistral is an import, Rick

Lost gears done oil change in gear box and transfer box been ok for short drives but done a five mile drive the weekend got home and put in reverse started then jumped out and then back in then out then in just enough to get in to my garden

not sure where your based but there is a auto specalist in Tonbridge that might be able to rebuild/fix your box, Stanton Automatics

When reverse fails it means the complete main shaft has failed = no oil pressure to the reverse clutch due to leakage between the two parts, these alone will cost more than a second hand box and then you have rebuild costs, a no no I think, Rick

if you want to see a horror story ...... I have pics of whats left of a auto box that's been stripped down to show the damage when what rick says happened .:eek:
 
breaking a 1999 terrano auto if this box is of use let me know its out of a terrano se tdi:thumb2
