Going to flush and change the fluid in my Auto-box this weekend.

Is there any expert dab-hands on here that can advise.

Just need to know what I need in parts and what I need to do.

I'll try and take some pics when I do it for an easy step-by-step guide.

Is there a haynes/service manual for these Y61 2.8's?

Might change the oil as well since I have the gunk bucket out.

How much fluids (Transmission fluid and Oil) do these take?

Do you really mean flush?
Only flush using fresh ATF not any kind of flushing fluid.
My r3mR only holds 4.5 Litres that you can change as the rest is in the torque convertor. I changed mine twice with a 500 mile gap as the best effective way to change all the ATF.(Its actually about 75% in reality)
As you know overfilling can be fatal.
Check level when in park with engine running and vehicle is not on an incline -best done when hot though there is a cold level for basic checking.
I found Fuchs 4400 best as its Synthetic equivalent to Dexron 111 or use Fuchs 4000 that is equivalent to Nissan Matic D. If you can afford it use genuine fluid as per manufacturer.
When you fill up through the dipstick tube make sure its very clean especially your funnel. Dealers often use a funnel with a built in strainer to keep out flys, air-borne brick dust etc.

Yes, the way it was done before was:
Change the fluid, run it for a fortnight, then change again, using the fluid to flush out, rather than putting a flushing agent through it. ;)
