they're old pics i have way more stickers now :lol

Know a lad who did a 3-4" body lift on his SWB with 2" lift on the suspension

i couldnt go that high, my mom struggles now! hence my 1" lift will look pretty low too that beast lol :thumb2:thumb2:thumb2

Alex, why not try your terry on green lanes first, you may be surprised how good these trucks are in normal fettle with AT tyres.

Also no point lifting it unless your going to put bigger tyres on.

I read these posts twice, and there was no mention of replacing the rear springs.

LWB springs in a SWB gives a lift, and extra strong springs in the LWB gives a lift too.

Sounds better than spring spacers, for a couple of inches max. :nenau

There was a member on here that had some extra strong springs made, and was also selling them. Also am I correct in saying that Milners offer them too, with a discount for members?

that's true but remember that s/h LWB springs tend to be old and tired, so you may get an 1" lift. if they're good then yes 11/2" lift.
Proper +2" springs are about 100 quid a pair. The milner ones are cheaper but 3"
(personally I'd go for them and cut a bit off them ;) )

Some springs will get the lift from being harder to compress = a hard ride.

Springs

Hi chaps...if my tranny gets fixed 😢 and I wanted to get a tad more extra height putting 'strong' springs on would give you a bit extra? Without any problems? And easy fixing? Thanks rob

its not really that easy to say yes or no. when you look at sports versions of say, vectras or volvos they are a stiffer, stronger spring but have a shorter height to help handling. however, on a transit a spring from a heavier capacity van may well be longer(swapping a swb spring for a high cube lwb may well help). the transit 4x4 have a good height, maybe see how much a motorfactors can do them for?
