Asfir underbody bash/skid plate (pics)

when i was at the 4x4 show the other day, i saw the terrano parked out front of the entrance. after reading the spec, i saw that it had an Asfir underbody bash plate fitted, as sold by TBR UK. so as you do, i thought i would take a look at it, to see what it was like. i also got some pictures for reference, although to be honest there not that great :lol:

the only thing that has put me off it, is that although it is 6mm thick, it is aluminium. even though it is a 'bash' plate, i dont fancy paying £235 only to go and 'bash' it in, or maybe thats just me :?

I have one of these on my Navara and I know what you mean about bashing nearly £300 worth of ally however, after Green Laning for nearly a year now I wouldn't go anywhere near a Green Lane without it.
Every time the bottom touched down you know the Asfir is doing its job, I took it off the other month for some maintainance work and found several dinks and gouges in it and smiled that they are in the skidplate and not the sump or gearbox!
I'd highly recommend one of these for anyone thinking of going green laning
