Not sure i want something so drastic. I can try to let some new metal in but my mig skills are pretty basic and it won't look pretty. That said I might be able to get away with hiding the joints behind the spats. I doubt I would get a good colour match if I went the glass fibre route.

He'll I hate the Internet on a phone. It's taken me an age to type this.

That guard at the front isn't standard is it? I'm gonna have to fabricate something to "tidy up" the naked front area once the bumper goes on.

Also I'm contemplating selling the Tirfor to get an electric winch :doh

For legality reasons only...

Nothing standard on my truck as far as I remember :lol
Proper winch bumper like mine sticks out no more than the plastic one. Bash plate is also structural and helps brace everything for those, erm, enthusiastic landings :naughty

^^^ Most modded / custom SWB in the uk I thinks ^^^

& its come a long way since then :sly :naughty :D :bow

Can't really get my head around the wheel sizes. Surely they are not 32 inch rim are they? Ill likely keep the 15:s i have but want some chunk rubber if in going off road with it.

I don't think there 32" rims :nenau

These are quite capable off road, with standard tyres on, all depends what your idea of off roading is :)

32 inch tyres :doh

Hehe, I was stung with this when i first learnt.

It doesent help that they bollock about with the sizes.

Metric to imperial isnt it?

The 33 or 32 is the diameter of the wheel and tyre combined :thumb2

NO, its the tyre size  ( 30" / 31" / 32" / 33" / 35" / 37" / 42" ) :thumb2

i.e.

31x1050R15

=

tyre is 31" high & 10.5 inchs wide on 15" rims

Ah. Now that's clearer. I'll see how the 265's it's shod with at the moment fare on the pay and play in wirral. I was really only thinking a slightly more chunky tread pattern. It's a learning curve. I do like that bumper though that Carl posted. Wouldn't have a bloody clue how to use a winch but it looks cool.

Tyres ARE the most important bit. Size helps but only in deep doo da .
A proper mud pattern like Simex or it's copies is the way to go if you're PnP ing :sly
