I remember seeing a post a while ago about alternative ARB links made from rose joints. I was wondering if anyone has any for sale or information on how to make some as I'm sick of changing mine.
Cheers in advance :thumbs

Mine were made for me by BigBunny, a fellow club member. Might be worth sending him an IM.

Nice to see you are still posting, good on ya, re the rose drop links, Alex had some, each time I saw it they had come lose, rust marks gave it away, and each time I did them up real tight, so my theory is they are too stiff, Rick

I fitted my front ones from Bigbunny in April, and have not had any issues with them working loose... In the time they have been on there, I have checked and re-greased them about 4 or 5 times, while doing other jobs, or putting grease on the steering stops. I have just fitted longer ones from him onto the rear to allow for the suspension lift, and will keep an eye on them, but overall, I am very pleased with them.

Thanks Rick!

did all my ARB drop links today, rears easy on the hoist, mini angle grinder made short work of removal, and a few minutes to fit new ones, front as said before, undo bottom drop link nuts and ARB to chassis U caps (rubbers needed changing anyway) and remove the ball joints on the floor/bench, (force the drop link off of the ball, stillsons on the ball, undo nut, fit new drop links offer up to wish bones and loosely fit U caps with rubbers, fit and adjust bottom rubbers, washers and nuts, tighten U caps, just over half an hour, sorry no pics still had rear brakes to adjust before dinner, Rick

Rick, what's the u clamp bolts normally like?

Thinking about doing that on mine and will I need to take the bash plate off?

Cheers

yes bash plate off, most bolts shear, but easy fix with self drilling roofing bolts, if you cannot find some I can post you half a dozen, drill new holes near old fixings, and as the thread is very course and length short they will come out easy next time, U bolt nuts are 14 mm just spray WD etc on them and if you find they are getting too hard then do them up again a little and with plenty spray work them back and forth, you do not want to shear these, Rick
