My current project is to refit my front ARB but with disconnects for offroad action.
Did some experiments tonight and have a question for you learned chappies :)
Is there a difference in size for the front ARB on pre '96 trucks ? :nenau
The one I have here on the truck is of unknown origin as my original one got scrapped years ago.
I know there's a different bottom ball joint from this year on.
I just cant see it being right. The holes in the bottom arm for the drop links are a good 20mm forward of the holes in the ARB itself. I've allowed for the lift and reset everything but see no sense in this geometry.
Anyone got some they could measure for me please ?
If this is the right one it's no wonder drop links fall to bits.

Might sound daft but have you tried flipping the arb? banshee spotted on my truck that it looked wrong and suggested I flipped it and hey presto fits much nicer

Just a thought

Yes thanks for that. I'very tried it both ways to see if it helped but it didn't.
I might make an offset bracket to bolt on the arm and see how that works out.

All I can tell you is the later ARB is 1mm more in bar thickness, Rick
