I am trying to change the aircon radiator/condenser, but am being beaten up a bit... It is starting to look like I need to remove the front bumper!

Anyone done it, and know the shortcut?

I suspect you'll have to remove the bumper but take a look at my project and see if there are any photos that'll help. Also looked at removing mine but the unions corrode badly so pretty much welded together.

Front bumper off mate, had to do that on the scrapper when I removed it :thumb2

Drill out the 4-off spot welds on the vertical brace on the slam panel, then the bolt at the bottom. You can then take out the air con condenser with no effort at all. When you refit it, use nuts and bolts in place of the spot welds. I've done it on mine . . . . I'll dig out some photos. Made life so much easier :thumb2

Here you go. The four spot welds I'm talking about

Drill them out (12mm I think) and remove the lower bolt. gives you all the space in the world :thumb2

Thanks so much for this, I was already considering this, but thought it may be frowned upon. I was very surprised when I found it was spot welded at the start.

I removed my complete aircon unit. Rad, pipes, compressor, ect ect. .... I dont know why. Also removed my side steps and spare wheel and bracket.
