HI all

As per title, want to get the old girl remapped 2.7tdi, so anyone used any good mappers around Birmingham area thay can recommend?

Cheers
Glen

I could be wrong but I think the 2.7's are more mechanical tuning for power (bit like the old pug 306 1.9 engines), the 3.0 (what I have) is more electronic / ecu tuning like a rema and tuning boxes.
Someone more experienced with a 2.7 will be along shortly though I'm sure

2.7 TDI/can benefit from an extra 30bhp from a remap.
Its on my to do list.
Although I haven't looked for any one yet so can't help

Both can be mapped. Old 2.7 can get an old skool pump tweak, the new 2.7 and 3.0 can get maps :thumb2

so any ideas on best place to take it near to midlands? any terrano mapping guru's close to me?

Cheers
Glen

just had the motor mapped, a place right by my work in birmingham city centre done it and wow, it pulls really really well now and i barely have to touch the throttle for normal driving, it feels so much more responsive and smoother, and did i mention it pulls really really well, lol.

Very happy now because in the last week ive changed the noisy box for a good low mileage one and its as quiet as a mouse, changed the lsd oil so it no longer spins me out round corners and had it mapped. I cant wait to get my 26ft 1750kg twin axle caravan on the back and see how it gets on

The earlier ( 93, 94, 95 and some early 96) TD non intercooler are mechanical, no remap for those. The later Tdi, intercooler with vent on bonnet can be.:thumb2

As said a bit of a tweak for the old 2.7 td... so can anyone do that? :nenau

Dynamic performance, icknield port road. Birmingham. Chap was spot on and reckons 30+ BHP and about 40 torque. Ive only driven about a mile or two so far back to work but it def feels different, and definitely more power and smoother when you give it the beans. Gonna run it for a couple of days and see how it goes and hooking the caravan up the weekend so that will be a good test too.
