i pull a 14 foot ifor with a 3 ton digger on. so approx 3.8 ton. f*ck the legal tow limits - it pulls it and doesnt complain! the torque in these engines is faultless. hook up and keep ploding.

Vehicle: terrano 2.7 td tow slag ;)

treat 'em mean eh, mind I do think the terrano is like a transit for abuse-ability
reckon Ford never knew what they'd got could have used as commercial too.

Towed my Swift Conqurer 650 T/A to the Irish National Rally in May from the North of Scotland and back with mine no problem 1000 miles return trip in total - Only dipped the oil before I left - used 3 full tanks of diesel though! Good reliable tow wagons .

now, i know mine would do that with ease, but no way i could afford three tanks of diesel

We tow a Lunar Lexon EB, haven't used the 3.0l yet but the 2.7 had no problems towing, mind lunars are fairly light caravans.
I did tow my mate (Landrover freelander)who was attached to his brother in-law (Vauxhall Zafira), which he had lost on a bend and ended up down a grass embankment into a ditch.
My mate tried to recover him using the Freelander, but he got stuck, so he called me and I pulled both vehicles out at the same time with the 2.7.

The AA man who had been sent to assist, said he wouldn't have believed it if he hadn't seen it with his own eyes.

Was that the thought of someone thinking they could tow a car out of a ditch with a gaylander that he wouldn't have believed? :D
