I'm looking into having some lift springs made up for T2/Mav, who else would be interested in some, no prices yet but hoping I can get them for about the same as procomp etc do them, but instead of lift and 30% uprated going to get standard rate ans 2" lift made. The uprated ones are no good for of road work really, neither are the LWB in SWB springs, they give a lift but at the expense of suspension movement/flex.

So I'd like an idication of who might be interested in buying some and what they'd want LWB or SWB.

Might even get some 3" done if enough people are interested but be warned you can't just wind the front end up to match with 3" lift.

Hi HB  I would be interested to see what the price will be for a set, only prob I think i'll have is that the torsion bars may have to be removed & turned a spline or two to gain the lift at the front   :cry:As for the spring rates standard or just slightly stiffer would suit me as my T2 spends alot of time on the road & would hate to loose the road handling it's got now

Could be interested too, it really depends on cost though.

Hi Hummingbird me too please I'm interested in 3" springs as I've just done the LWB spring thing but would like a bit more ht.
But I'm not sure about the front end as a result.
The previuos caller said moving the spline on one.
Is this a way out?
If so then 3" for me please.

Simon, I'd be interested in standard rate 2" lift springs if they came in at a competitive price.

Makeitfit - 3" lift at the front will require new wishbone arms (importing from the states) simply reindexing the torsion bars isn't sufficient. Sweety is just fretting cos he thinks he's run out of adjustment on the adjusters - I think he'll find he'll be ok, mine look the same but will still wind up further.

   Yes I am m8 as I would hate to have to strip that lot down

Hummingbird,in that case I'd be interested in the 2" springs. I just want to get the max lift with minimal expense/work.
So to clarify, will these new springs your working on give me both a slightly higher ride(than LWB springs) and have good road manners?
Cheers

Ok I've got some prices back, these are based on a minimum order qty, if we get more orders than that then they might improve a bit but I don't imagine it will be a lot.

These are being sold as for offroad use only as most of this type of gear is, it is the purchasers rsponsibility to ensure theat they are suitable for the vehicle they are buying them for.

SWB +2" standard rate for maximum articulation and grip off road. - £53 per pair +P&P at cost.

SWB +2" +20% spring rate
to help maintain the OE handling of the truck whilst providing a lift, similar to fitting LWB spring only more lift - £57 per pair +P&P at cost.

LWB +2" +20% spring rate
to help maintain the OE handling of the truck whilst providing a lift, similar to fitting LWB springs to a SWB only for the LWB and more lift - £70 per pair +P&P at cost.

These prices are for members of here and the other forum only, any left over will be sold on ebay for a bit more.

If anyone wants any other type I can enquire bout these ie LWB +2" std rate, but I think the three above will be the most popular.

At the moment finish is powder coated gloss black, it will probably be a bit more for a coloured finish but if people would like it we could go down that route.

I'll place te order shortly and turnaround will be approximately 28 days. Can deliver to any laning days etc I go to, or arrange to meet up when convenient to try to reduce P&P etc

lift springs

i came across some by chance on the internet the other day,but cant find the site or remember what i was looking for.they too were 2"lift and 20% spring rate for a lwb.remember the price was about £80 a pair.not sure if that was with or without vat.

ps i am very interested in the lwb ones.get my bonus the end of june and i think ive about spent it all already

Okey dokey put me down for a pair of SWB +2" +20%
That should give me just enough articulation and load carrying ability I think.
Cheers Pete

Very competitive prices, well done Simon.

Can you put me down for +2" +20% rate SWB please.

springs

could you put me down for a pair of lwb springs please hb

p.s can get powdercoating done very cheap(£10 a pair)in any colour as i run the paint plant at work.will see you next sunday at the notts lanes meet if you want to have a chat about it then.

Hi HB could you tell me if I will have to readjust the camber etc after fitting a 2" lift or will it be ok :?:
Would it be ok to let you know if I want a set of spring by the weekend :?: if not could you poss give me a rough day it's just i'm having to work out the pennies

You may well have to adjust the camber afterwards, with the lift I've got at the mo my camber barely moved, but not sure about a bit higher.

If I can get to borrow a std truck to fit a pair to and do a workshop for it we can work out by how much and show how to do it too. Assuming the ride height and camber are right to start with they'll all need adjusting by the same amount after all.

I went to speak to the company in person the other day and we can have a colour for no extra cost as long as its one of their standard one, so the usual sort of blue, yellow, orange etc are available - anyone any preference or would people prefer black.

Going to place an order on Monday so if anyone else is interested speak up as the next batch won't be for 2 or 3 months.

spring colour

would like them yellow if poss.do you want me to bring the cash on sunday to the lanes meet in nottinghamshire and if so how much.

Hi Hummingbird, can I have yellow too please.Let me know about how to pay you etc.
Cheers Pete

I'd offer my wagon for the workshop, but we're probably a bit too far apart.

Colour, a nice muddy browny beige colour would suit me!

Should have said - its all the same colour or all black. Yellows good for me, so unless anyone objects violently I think I'll go with yellow. May as well have something to show for the money as well as the lift, nice bright yellow springs should look the business.
